We are happy to have the opportunity to assist organizations who support and benefit individuals with intellectual disabilities and autism by providing grants so they can continue the cycle of doing good for the community.

We accept grant applications May 1 – May 31 and a decision will be made in June.

Aces for Autism

2023

Aces for Autism, located in Greenville, North Carolina, is a not-for-profit treatment and educational center dedicated to empowering families and individuals impacted by autism to experience success from diagnosis through adulthood. Our goal is each individual and family we serve experience God’s love and purpose for their life through the quality services we provide.

Camp Royall

2023

The Autism Society of North Carolina’s Camp Royall in Moncure, NC is the nation’s oldest and largest camp specifically serving individuals with autism. While participating in traditional summer camp activities and making new friends, campers develop many of the precursor skills and traits necessary for success in other areas of life, such as cooperation, confidence, independence, empathy, communication, and fine motor skills. PCGH Foundation provided scholarship assistance to support several campers this summer.

Moonbeams and Miracles

2023

Moonbeams and Miracles is a therapeutic horsemanship center that strives to enhance the lives of those with physical, cognitive, or emotional disabilities to help them gain confidence, coordination, strength, and social skills. This is accomplished through the involvement in equine assisted activities and therapies in order for them to thrive in everyday life. Services offered include therapeutic riding, equine facilitated psychotherapy, and traditional riding lessons.

Awaken Coffee

2022, 2023

Awaken Coffee’s mission is to employ adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities, promoting their skills, confidence, and dignity. Awaken Coffee knows the joy the special needs population can bring to a business and hopes to create a unique atmosphere by employing differently abled adults as baristas, cashiers and more! PCGH Foundation recently provided a grant to aid in the organizations fundraising efforts.

Pitt County Wildcats Special Olympics Basketball Team

2022

The Pitt County Wildcats, a five-on-five basketball team, recently represented North Carolina at the 2022 USA Special Olympics in Orlando, Florida. This achievement comes after a two-year layoff due to the coronavirus pandemic, which forced the Wildcats basketball team to shut down. The pandemic was especially hard on Special Olympians, but this group persevered. PCGH Foundation was proud to provide basketball shoes to the team.
